After several years of taking mediocre wildlife photographs I finally decided to lay down the cash and buy professional lenses in the spring of 2010. This website was designed and built by myself using PHP, MySQL Database, jQuery and Google Map API. The site is database-driven, which eliminates the need to write new html when new categories and species are added. New photos and information are simply entered into a web page form, and the underlying code automatically does the rest. This design dramatically reduces site maintenance time. For the end-user it also eliminates the time-intensive back and forth navigation as they move from one species to another. The page never changes. Only the images change.
